Hotel Ticomo - hasta luego!

This place has been incredible. 41 volunteers, too many memories made in three days to count. It's almost not fair how Peace Corps has provided us the opportunity to get so incredibly close and bond with so many other volunteers only to split us up into small groups and disperse us in different locations  depending on our program and language level.

Still, I consider myself fortunate that I will be living in the Masaya region in Nicaragua, in the town of Nandasmo, living with a family under the supervision of Doña María Magdalena Pérez for the next three months. I have been placed in a small group with three other volunteers chosen because we all demonstrated advanced-level Spanish skills. All that said, what I'm thinking about now is how tough it is that I'm leaving this newly constructed network of amazing people who are going through the same experiences as I am. Who would have known that three days could feel so long?

But hey, I'm in Nicaragua, I've been chosen and matched with a wonderful family, and I'm unbelievably excited to begin the next step of my Peace Corps experience. Training for three months in Nandasmo, Nicaragua. Wish me luck!

Hablarémos pronto (look that up)... I hope!

A la orden,

Z
